Farms & Harvesting
Grown Slowly.
Picked Carefully.
Mature Kinnow orchards in Bhalwal, Sargodha — and the harvest practice that separates our fruit from a bulk commercial pick.
01 · Where Our Farms Are
Bhalwal, Sargodha
Our orchards sit in Bhalwal tehsil, inside Sargodha district — the belt that growers and traders across Pakistan simply call the Citrus Capital. More Kinnow comes out of Sargodha than anywhere else in the country, and buyers who know citrus ask for it by district.
We farm inside that belt, not on its edge. Every crate we send out is grown here, picked here, and graded here.
02 · Why Here
Why Sargodha & Bhalwal Grow the Finest Kinnow
Kinnow can be planted almost anywhere in Punjab. It only reaches its best in a narrow set of conditions — and this belt has all four of them at once.
Sandy Loam, Deeply Drained
The soil here is light and free-draining rather than heavy clay. Citrus roots hate standing water, and this ground never holds it — which is why trees stay healthy for decades instead of declining after ten years.
Canal Water From the Jhelum
Bhalwal sits on the irrigated plain between the Jhelum and Chenab. Reliable canal water means the crop is never left thirsty through the hot months, and never drowned either.
Hot Summers, Cold Dry Winters
This is the one that matters most. Long hot summers build the sugar; cold, dry nights from November onward set the deep orange rind colour and sharpen the sweet-tart balance. Milder regions simply cannot produce that contrast.
Generations of Kinnow-Only Knowledge
Growers here have worked one crop for decades. Pruning timing, irrigation scheduling, pest windows, when a block is ready — that judgement is local, and it is not written in any manual.

03 · Our Orchards
Mature Trees, Not Young Plantings
Our Kinnow trees are not five or ten years old. Most have been in the ground for twenty years or more — and in citrus, that difference is tasted, not just counted.
A young tree pushes out volume with thin flavour. A mature tree has roots deep enough to draw steady moisture and minerals through the hot months, a canopy that has settled into balance, and a crop that comes in consistent year after year rather than swinging between a heavy season and a poor one.
- ✓Deeper roots, steadier moisture through Punjab's heat
- ✓Denser fruit with fuller flavour, not watery bulk
- ✓Reliable yield season after season
04 · The Harvest
What Makes Our Harvest Different
Most of what separates good Kinnow from average Kinnow happens in the two weeks around picking.
Every Fruit Is Clipped, Not Torn
Pickers cut the stem flush with shears. Pulling tears the button and opens the fruit to rot within days.
We Wait Until It's Actually Ready
We sample for juice and sweetness before opening a block, rather than picking early to beat demand.
We Pick a Block Several Times
A single strip-pick grabs unripe and overripe fruit together. We return pass after pass, taking only what's ready.
Picked Before Peak Heat
Harvesting happens in the cool morning hours, so fruit never sits warm in the sun before grading.
05 · Year-Round Care
Harvest Is the Last Step, Not the Only One
Pruning & Canopy Shape
Open canopies let light and air reach every fruit, evening out ripening across the tree.
Measured Irrigation
Canal water on a schedule tuned to each growth stage — never flooded, never left thirsty.
Natural Ripening
No forced ripening agents. Fruit colours and sweetens on the tree, on its own schedule.
Careful Pest Watch
Regular scouting keeps any intervention targeted and minimal rather than routine.
06 · After Picking
Straight From Field to Facility
Picked fruit does not sit overnight in the orchard. It moves the same day to our processing facility, where it is washed, polished, inspected for damage and graded by size before packing.
